Good advice, I think I will see about literary magazines more this year. Reading widely is also great advice, I love finding all those gems I wouldn’t have heard of if I stuck to one genre. People who do so, miss out on so much good stuff.

Thanks for sharing, Michelle! I’m a book hoarder and I’m not ashamed to admit it. 🙂 Honestly, if I lived to be 100, right now, I’d have enough books stockpiled to keep me reading…yet, I continue to buy them!

I know what you mean. My bookshelves are stuffed and I’m too embarrassed to tell anyone how many I have on my Kindle, but a hint is that I have more than I could possibly read in two lifetimes. It’s an addiction.

Thanks for sending us over to that great post on reading/books/challenging ourselves. I like the idea of breaking out where we get our books: library, Kindle, gifts, buy for ourselves, etc. She has a wonderful list there!

I agree. Now we need to get down to work and make our lists. 😉

I do have a crafted-out list this year. I don’t know how many I’ll finish– we’ll see, I guess.

Good luck with it, Damyanti. My intentions always are greater than the time I have for reading.

Thanks for sharing–that was a great post! I often forget to include in my list of books-I’ve-read the ones on the craft of writing or other books I read for research.

I forget to list a lot of books mainly because if I see one that looks interesting, I grab it and never think to go back and add it.
