I have decided to use this wealth of experience to offer copy-editing and proofreading for authors and writers. Copy-editing and proofreading are key components of successful publishing.

What You Can Expect
- Copy-Editing Service
Your book or manuscript will be proofread with attention to spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Other areas that will be looked at are sentence structure, what words or sentences are extraneous, whether the text flows well and the tone is consistent. Your introduction and conclusion will be examined to ensure they are both strong. Formatting will also be examined for accuracy.
Completion time of the copy-editing service will depend upon the length and complexity of your document.
- Proofreading Service
Proofreading corrects minor grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and incorrect punctuation.
What I Need from You
You will need to supply a copy of your work as a Word doc or docx. MS Word is much easier to edit and for you to accept or reject edits.
For better readability, I prefer a font of no less than 12.
Michelle James should be included as copy-editor (or proofreader) of your completed work.
Pricing and Payment
$2.00/page for copy-editing with a $25 minimum.
$1.50/page for proofreading only with a $15 minimum.
